Amazon Favourites | July 2020

Amazon Favourites | July 2020

Happy Monday! We’re just wrapping up a long weekend here in Alberta and it was a really nice one!

I decided to do something a little different here and dedicate a whole blog post to the favourite things we’ve gotten off of Amazon in the last month. Between living in the country, a little baby, and the pandemic, we’re definitely taking advantage of shopping online! And while we’re chasing a more minimal-ish life, we’re still working on renovating and decorating our cabin, as well shopping for the regular things a family of 5 needs/wants. Here’s what we loved in July…

National Parks Poster - The older kids recently decided to not share a room anymore so we’ve been working on setting up their own spaces. I’d had my eye on this poster for a while and a Simon loved it so we decided to have it be one of the special new pieces for his room! Plus, we’re going to study Nation Parks in our upcoming school year so it a fun teaser for that!

Shelf Bra Camisole - My mum give me a cami with a built in bra and it’s been the most comfortable for the early stages of nursing (especially with severe breast pain) so I really wanted another one. I love that this one is organic cotton, came so soon, and it’s been incredibly comfortable! I pretty much just live in these 24/7 now! lol #momlife

Black Clips - I originally ordered these to hang up a tapestry I bought for our front hall - and we did that - but it turns out they’re great for chip bags too ;

Baby Monitor -I’m not even sure when we last even used a baby monitor but we definitely didn’t have one anymore. We bought this inexpensive one for camping at the end of the month and it worked great! I was able to put Emma down at night and still go and hang out by the campfire for a bit 🙌🏼

Weird but True Canada - I love getting the kids a fun little something new when we go on a road trip and this is what I chose this time. They got a real kick out of all of the random facts and seeing if they could find ones about places they’ve been! Highly recommend!

Fire TV Stick - We really do try not to watch too much tv, it with spending a lot of my day in my big comfy nursing chair in the living room, this seemed like a good addition to our home. It really has just been so nice! I love being able to watch hgtv while I, urging and have actually been enjoying watching decluttering and homemaking videos on YouTube! hahaha And a big plus is that this was SO much cheaper than Apple TV, and really is serving us well so far.

Kids Baskets - As I already mentioned, we’re working on getting the kids’ individual rooms set up and improving organization in each room. Since the kids each have a lot of teddies, I thought I’d get them these large baskets for them, and they’ve been a great solution! Simon’s is nice and neutral and Sophie’s has a fun little fringe details on the side.

Lactation Cookies - I’ve a supply issue on the right side due to an injury so I thought I’d give these a try. I honestly have no idea if they’re working but I figure they can’t hurt. Plus, they’re super yummy and I don’t mind needing to eat a few cookies a day ;)

Until I blog again,

Alex
