September Music Favourites
September was a b.u.s.y. month and, if I’m being completely honest, I’m glad to be on to October. Not that it wasn’t great, we had visits from family, beautiful weather, and Shane and I event had a getaway to celebrate our 10th anniversary, but I’m just glad to welcome October and it’s less busy schedule! Without further adieu, here are some of the songs I’m (we’re 🤷🏼♀️) really digging this month…
I Kept the Roses Tenille Townes
First of all, Tenille is from good ol’ Alberta! Second, this song is slow, twangy, hurtin’ perfection… and I am alllll about that! Maybe is my Texas raisin’ but I just love some good twang, and this just totally nails the old school country vibes, in my opinion.
Heaven’s Not Too Far We Three
Sometimes we sit around and watch audition videos on the YouTube, like America’s Got Talent or American Idol, and we saw the audition of this sibling band… Their story was pretty amazing and their performance was just incredible! And it dawned on me that I’d heard their song before… and Shane was like “oh ya, I have some of their songs.” haha He’s just so good and finding these gems but not so great and remembering to share them with me! ;)
How to Country Dylan Schneider
Every time I hit a back road (which is often these days) this is what I want to put on. It’s song is fun, and a country anthem of sorts, but not quite as formulaic sounding as one seems to get these days.
I Wish Grandpas Never Died Riley Green
It’s just a real good song, y’all. It’s talking about all the stuff we’re feeling and its kinda
