Favourite Music Finds [July]

Favourite Music Finds [July]

Gotta love leaving this month’s music roundup to the eleventh hour, on the very last day of the month… This has been a busy month for the Kolkmans, and I was SO grateful for good music when I did twelve hour drive by myself, with the two kids. Here’s what I’m really digging this month…

Desert Days Elenowen

So, this is neither a new song, or a new song to me. Just days ago husband and wife, Elenowen, released a new version of their song Desert Days… The new version is good and definitely has a much different feel to the original but I actually still prefer the original! Have a listen over in iTunes (or wherever you get your music) and tell me what you think…

Hippie Radio Eric Church

Eric Church gets a lot of play in our house - Shane is a big fan (that seems like an understatement lol)! We’ve had his latest album since it first came out, and I’ve heard it enough times, but I didn’t really hear Hippie Radio until recently… And I’m just really loving it right now!

Life is Good The Hunts

The Hunts are a seven member indie/folk band made up entirely of homeschooled siblings. I love their other songs and their latest single is just super fun and uplifting. Plus, I love supporting the homeschool community and they are super talented!

Nothin’ On You Cody Johnson

You can thank Shane for finding this one. Given the title, I’ll let you assume the topic of this song… But it’s a goodin’! It’s slow, kinda raspy, and has a nice old school country feel to it. Plus, Cody Johnson is born and raised Texas singer and y’all know how I feel about Texas… ;)

Homeschool Anthem Shama Mrema (feat. PD)

If you don’t homeschool, you might not find this nearly entertaining as I do, but I’m just loving this song! It’s legit an accurate homeschooling anthem by former homeschoolers.. And the music video!! Do yourself a favour and go watch it (here)!

Until I blog again,
