Since I’ve been making hot chocolate on repeat, I thought I’d refine a recipe that I could share, and pull out of my back pocket for when I inevitably forget myself. This version is inspired by Mexican Hot Chocolate, but doesn’t pack quite as much of a punch. It has a bit of sweetness, but not too much, and it’s even earned me compliments from my not-sweet-tooth hubby.

Coordinated Christmas decor, all bought from a store, placed “just so” around the house. Dozens and dozens of beautiful baked goods stocking my freezer just in case. And don’t even get me started on all the gift wrapping supplies!! And surprise, surprise, I was disappointed every year when I didn’t manage to accomplish all of it!
It was SO smoky, and SO hot, but this is one of my most favourite activities that we've done this year as a family!!
